Youth GO for a Day
Interested in The GO Project, but not quite ready or available to commit to a full program?
Wanting to spend a day with like–minded young people from across the country?
Looking to learn, serve in your community, and gain volunteer hours?
Attending The GO Project for the first time is exciting, but we recognize that it can be quite daunting. We also know that everyone’s circumstances are different, and spending 8–11 days away from work, extracurricular commitments, and friends and family might not be possible. This is why we are now offering GO for a Day, an opportunity for 13–19 year–olds to attend a GO Project program for one day and join the other full–time participants in all aspects of the program.
As a GO for a Day participant, youth will partake in all elements of a “typical” day with The GO Project, including mission work, preparing and enjoying meals, and fun activities.
If you or a young person in your life might beinterested in GO for a Day, please contact us at admin@thegoproject.ca
GO for a Day participants are expected to uphold the values and commitments outlined in our covenant, cell phone & technology policy, and drug and alcohol policy. Participants aged 18+ are also required to provide a completed Criminal Record–Vulnerable Sectors check given that our work in the community often involves interacting with vulnerable populations.
