Naramata Retreat Program

We are excited to offer special program in partnership with Naramata Retreat Centre in Naramata, BC in Spring 2020!

Join us for a time to gather as a young generation within the church to dream about the programs and church we want to see.

– What does the church of the present and future look like for you?

– What role do you want young people to have in that church?

– What opportunities and programs do you wish were available to you?

We will dive into these questions and topics… and more! Our findings and dreams will be compiled into a report for Naramata, GO Project, education centres, regions and communities of faith to use in their program design.

Dates: March 21st – 24th , 2020
Please arrive the evening of the 20th, or morning of the 21st. We will all depart in the early afternoon of the 24th.

Price: acomodations, food and program free are covered by a grant, but you are responsible for getting to and from Naramata, BC (closest airport is Penticton). A travel pool is available. Please indicate below if you require travel assistance.

  • What do we need to know to make camp life giving for you?
I declare that my child(ren)’s health is suitable for day camp activities, and have let staff know of ways they can support my child(ren) in having a life-giving experience at camp. I permit the staff and volunteers of The GO Project and of the host congregation to engage in on-site medical care as deemed necessary (including administration of medication I have brought for the children during their day) and to use their judgment in determining the extent of immediate medical care as required for this child and to the extent of using the emergency service of a hospital. As well I agree to not hold staff or volunteers of The Go Project, Islington United Church or of the host congregations liable for accidents or misfortune that may occur to the child (knowing that every precaution shall be taken by staff to ensure my child’s welfare and safety.
