Board of Directors

The GO Project has a dynamic, curious, and dedicated Board of Directors, who have transitioned GO Project into a newly incorporated ministry of the United Church of Canada. Directors serve a two-year term, with the possibility for extension and the incoming Chair will be asked to offer their skills and expertise to further GO’s mission. Meeting times and dates are decided on by members of the Board and average once every two months and are currently held virtually. The average volunteer time for the Chair role is about 10-15 hours per month.

Though based in Toronto, our programs operate on a national scale and we are welcoming of board member applicants from every coast. Applicants from all backgrounds and geographical locations across Canada are encouraged, and we especially would like to invite individuals from historically underrepresented and marginalized communities to consider joining our board.

As an executive member of the board, the Chair is a member of the team that also includes, at least, a Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Minister to The GO Project. Together they are collectively responsible for the effective functioning of the whole board.
