Summer 2025 Job Posting

We received significantly fewer job grants than in summers past, so we do not have admin, communication, or curriculum writer jobs available this summer. We are, however, seeking program staff for our summer youth programs.

The three jobs available are:

  • Program Coordinator (Plan and coordinate the summer youth program in Saskatoon, and act as a site staff and support for the Oakville program)
  • Program Coordinator (Plan and coordinate the summer youth program in Oakville, and act as a site staff and support for the Saskatoon program)
  • Counsellor in Training (Perfect for a young adult looking to build their leadership skills. This position will act as a site staff and support for both programs in Oakville and Saskatoon.) Ideal candidate is in grade 11, 12, or early University.Β

Do I need to be a member of the United Church to apply?

No! We consider ourselves an ecumenical organization and would love people of other faiths to join our team. If you are not a member of a specific religion or denomination, please feel free to also apply, as long as you have the comfortability of talking with participants and fellow staff about faith and spirituality.

Do I need to have experience working with children and youth to apply?

To be site staff or office staff, no – just a desire! To be a coordinator or curriculum designer, yes you will need at least two years of leadership experience. Hiring may be conditional on completing a level 2 police records check.

What is the application process?

Canada Summer Job Grants

All positions listed are funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. All applicants must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
